In an image posted on a Chinese site, there is even a mention of the phones although they don't right now exist. According to the leak, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Google Pixel 3, OnePlus 6T and Moto Z 2019 will be among the top phones to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.

Although this is a lot of information, there are one key bit to keep in mind: It's obvious. For several years now, the high-end processor market when it comes to Android phones is dominated by Qualcomm. Every year the top Qualcomm processor powers the top Android phones and in 2018 too it is not going to be any different. The top OnePlus phones or the top Google Pixel phones will definitely come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 in 2018.

Although, do keep in mind the two Samsung exceptions as far as India is concerned. For several years now, Samsung releases two variants of the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note phones. In 2018 too, there will be variants of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy Note 9. The variants that come to India will most likely be powered by Samsung's own next-gen Exynos processor. Samsung is expected to reveal this new Exynos processor in January first week.

The Snapdragon 845 was announced by Qualcomm in the first week of December. It is an 8-core processor, with 4 of its high-performance cores running at 2.8GHz. Qualcomm said that the processor will offer around 25 to 30 per cent more theoretical performance compared to Snapdragon 835. It will also offer around 30 per cent better performance in games with its new Adreno 630 processor. The company said that the new Snapdragon 845 processor has been designed to give the phones better performance in AI computing, camera, and more efficient battery use.
